Scam?

Movie Land?

I keep getting this pop up from this Movie Land deal. They claim thier program was downloaded from my ISP.

Of course they want $20, Can't find a way to cancel outif I did pay. Of course they claim they will gladly bill us monthly when they get a hold of the card #. B.S.!

No way to contact the freaks. Anyone heard of this?

I suggest you run a check on your computer and remove stuff like that. I use
Adaware, spybot search and destroy, I run popup blocker and... NEVER give out a CC# unless it is a secure site and you know of the Company. You don't have to pay for anything you didn't order by Federal Law!
Remember..." there's a Sucker born every minute...and 2 to take him !"

They are trying to sell you is a service ,IF it is movieland...you can google em and see what pops up...

If you want the BEST for FREE Get Adaware From Lavasoft...Spybot search and destroy...And for Virus Protection Get AVG free edition!!! These are all FREE and recommended by Microsoft Engineers. Try to only download them from the home sites other than spybot s&d,may have to come from a compiled site. I worked with a DELL rep and Beta tester and these Are the ones to use. He claimed that Mcafee and Norton were writing viruses to keep themselves in business ! Keep them updated Weekly(AVG free sets to auto update daily.) It has stopped every attack so far!

McAffee is a memory hog, but it will kill stuff that Norton won't. It cleaned a tough little bugger from my Dad's machine. I prefer the Grisoft AVG - it updates every day and stays very current. Free too - it works for me!
We use Trend at work, and a computer-geek buddy says it's very good.

I just checked it out, and the only free thing I saw was a 30-day free trial. Which isn't necessarily a bad deal...
