I am being serious and not wanting to upset people? When will we invade Iran? Why? Do you agree with war with Iran? Who will be the next President?

Do you think it will be WWIII? Do you feel the tension rising or is it just me??

That's a good question - what makes a world war?

I suspect that the Arab conflict will culminate in a "Last Crusade" that will leave them decimated but the western world weak against China, and THEN will be WWIII.

Define soon. I believe they are taking their time to prepare. I'm thinking decades, during which they will subtlely support the Islamofacists to their own distruction and our gradual wearing down. Been underway for a while already though.

speaking about the riots over the cartoons, the news reporter says there will be an investigation into wheather islamic extreemists are fueling the outrage.

IMHO, they are all extreemists to be rioting over a cartoon.

I a suble inkling that these extreemist will eventually stumble upon some very powerful technology, bigger than their level of comprehnsion, and end up doing everyone in. Maybe they get the nuclear snowball going and the radiation clouds will slowly kill off the survivors, or they will release a biological catastrophe and do us all in that way.

Yes, China is in very good position right now. I am not really an expert on world politics or where China actually stands, but I found it alarming to hear them playing war games with Russia a while back.

I would not be surprised to see a handfull of Russian nukes go off in some very undesirable places.

I'm finding it harder to sleep at night. I wonder if I should move away from a likely target area or just stay put knowing it will be over before I knew what happened?

Iran will continue to delay the issue, then President Clinton will appease them and the Chinese. By the time her two terms end, China will own us outright.
There'll be a UN headquarters building in every state capitol, and Blue Helmets on every street corner. Hunting will have ended, as all forest areas will have been declared World Wildlife Heritage Sites, and no human presence allowed.
Only those working the state-owned mega-farms will be allowed to live in the rural countryside. All others must move intot he metropolitan "Smart Cities", so they can use nationalized Mass Transit to get to their jobs.
Congestion will create megaplexes like the Washington/Virginia/Maryland Population Center. Gasoline will be rationed, as will water, food and electrical power. People will be required to have monthly health exams - with hefty fines for straying above or below one's "Ideal Body Weight".
The tax rate will be set at a base 80%, greatly reduced for recognised minorities and the Entertainment Elite.
The Republican Party merges with the Democrats to form the People's Popular Party - all others are outlawed. Ironically, "P3 to be Free" will be their catchphrase. One's life will be an open book, as state-sanctioned video cameras are everywhere, as well as required in all TVs and computer monitors. All communications is monitored, 24/7.
Hetero couples must apply for a license to marry and have children. Others are under no such limitations.
Processed sugar, red meat and fatty foods are outlawed - the public doesn't care as the included feel-good drugs take the place of prior additives.

The state run press will only allow people to hear what they "need" to hear about the seperatist rebel/terrorist who refuse to accept the chip implant and give up their arms and continue their murderous rebellion against the state. Prez Klinton places a bounty on the heads of the rebels who refuse to take the implanted chip codenamed M.A.R.C , necessary to purchase anything.

As far as Hillary is concerned, I think the Republicans are hoping she will run because their base will get so fired up that they would vote in droves for whoever runs against her.

I'll vote for Obama.

We'll invade Iran before they complete their first nuke. becasue if we don't, Israel will.

No WW3, just a bunch of petty wars that chip away at us until this great nation drifts apart. then there will be some fighting, some dieing, and maybe we'll rebuild our great nation. or maybe a bunch of smaller countries will spring up. either way, Europe will enjoy being the center of commerce for the first time in a hundred years, and will promptly blow it.

Thanks, Troy. I couldn't recall the exact quote, but it's one of my favorites (and true, to an extent). Any invading force will face on heck of a guerrila war - Bubba and his buddies will have a grand old time with their deer rifles. And pity the squad going across the hills when the Varmint Hunters are out in force!
