It cracks me up that the riots over the cartoons alwys have 'em yelling "Down with America" like it had anything to do with us. Of course it also cracks me up that they are protesting cartoons which portray Islam as violent by......getting violent.

His offer is bogus anyway. He said most of the money was coming from jeweler's trade association or some such, and they're going, "Huh?". He also offered it for "the Cartoonist" who did the drawings; he's so ignorant he doesn't even know 12 people drew the 12 cartoons. The Muslim religion doesn't really have any hierarchy or formal structure; any jack**** who wants to call himself an Imam can stand up and start spouting off. If he gets enough people to listen, he becomes somebody. |

For the record, "ransom" is only applicable when you're holding someone hostage. It implies that you want something in exchange for something of greater value to someone you're blackmailing. this is a bounty.

My prediction for the future is 12 new !!!!!!!!! to the international witness program. They join Rushdie as semi-celebrities traveling the world with government protection at tax payer exspense. If Rushdie hadn't gone underground he would be dead by now .
