Carbine stock question

I own a M1 carbine with a 1-44 barrel and a receiver made by Quality Hardware 1,77x,xxx. The stock is like new and marked on the oiler well with M-U and the butt has the crossed cannons. The other side of the butt is marked with 3 lines of stamped text: STD, ROD, WH. What does these lines of text mean? I have never seen this before.

You've got a letter missing. Its actually STD. PROD. WH. That is a rebuild stamp. The carbine was rebuilt by Standard Products in a post WWII contract. and WH is the inspector's initials. The M-U is Marlin for Underwood.

Thanks. Looking at the stock I thought a letter may be missing because the second row was offset from the first row. Thta solves the mistery.
