Or, they may send it in for you.
They will charge a transfer fee (usually $10-$30).
The firearm will be shipped to them, and the 4473's and NICS will be completed at your transfer dealer's shop.

Well guys, I bought one. I went to the store down the street and got an awsome gun, the only thing is they can't sell it to me until thursday becuase they bought it off of an individual.
Anyways, it is a MAK-90 chambered in .223. It is beautiful and very sturdy with a thumbhole stock. When I can take it home, you fellas will be the first to see the pics. Where can I get the AK mags that are chambered in .223??? I am so excited I feel like a little kid getting what he wanted for Christmas. :guitar:

You contact your BATF and they go through the whole proccess with you. You have 4 of the same forms you have to fill out and 4 fingerprint clearance cards. THen, you turn it all in and they go over it with you. After that, they let you know and you give them 200 dollars. THat is it, but there are aeveral restictions and they have to know ahead of time where you are going to be selling these guns.

Those mags are for the AK-74, which is the .223 version. I'm guessing those mags will work in your gun.

So, the MAK-90 shoots .223 unless you have a magazine that takes the 5.56?
I should stick with the .223 magazines and just use the .223 ammo?

Wait.. what? Is your gun chambered for .223 or the 5.56 NATO round? The mags work with either bullet. Although I'm not for sure if this applies to AK's, it's like an AR. The mags worth with either .223 or 5.56. But, what you fire depends on what your gun is chambered for. The 5.56 NATO round is a hotter load(more pressure) and should not be fired out of an AR thats chambered for the .223. However, an AR thats chambered for the 5.56 can fire both. Like I said, I don't know alot about AK's, so I don't know if this applies to your gun or not.

Mag-AK74 German Bakelite 30rd 5.45x39 AK Magazine
Item#Mag-AK-74
New German Bakelite 30rd 5.45x39 Magazines. While supplies last.
Price: $12.95
If I'm reading this right, 5.45x39 is the same as 5.56x45.

But my gun is chambered in .223, so this will still work? I can find the 5.56 magazines, but I am not sure if they work in the MAK-90 chambered in .223. WHat do you think??

Me too. Now you know what I am going through. IT is chambered in .223 so I think, I am stressing the word think, that I can only use .223 magazines. TO make it even more compicated, I think that I can only use .223 that work for the MAK-90 or AKA Norinco.
Pred, either way, I want to thank you for all your help. You rock
