Ok alot of us have been shooting since we were kids and some of us grew
into shooting things.Just wondering what is some of the craziest things you've
ever shot(non living things peeps).Well one of the best things I ever shot was
an old train car.Man you could unload a drum full of ammo on this thing. Also
55 gallons drums filled with a combustable substance.Love the explosion. One of fav things me and my cousins "use" to do was fill ballons up with helium, let
them fly and try to shoot them out of the sky with .22's.We always waited
until they were way far and try and shoot them...:gangster: :gangster: :gangster: :gangster:

Besides the "normal" things to shoot, like targets and hunting game, I've shot cowpies, water moccasins, turtles, fence posts and other things I can't remember.
One of the more fun things I've shot was an old circular saw, with a .50 cal bullpup. The bullet hit almost the dead center of the blade, and blew the whole motor open.
The gun belonged to a friend of my son, and I can't remember the make. You know how it is with old folks; the memory is the second thing to go.
The most memerable thing I shot was a hummingbird with one of those spring impact BB pistols...honestly, it was from the hip and I never expected a hit. I blew it's little skull apart.
Then, I live in the city and when I came home to my roomies playing the garage, they were shooting .22 shorties through some kind of cheap riffle. They had a quarter taped to plywood across the garage and were trying to hit it. Well, one shot from 20 feet I got it, and still have it with its big dent...
When I was younger and stupider, I shot a hardened steel plate at close range. I received my only body piercings from that experience. Seriously, got one in the earlobe. Darn glad I didn't get any in the eyes. You sure bet I learned better from that.

Uh, I shot the window lights outta' the schoolhouse when I was dumber. An I shotted Frankie Black with a load of #9, 'bout the same time frame as the winder thing. Oh yeah, I shooted a Doe with a M-1 and when the Warden come up on me, I told him it was self defence.
Oh yeah, I shot Jerry Lowdermilk's cat at about 250 yards with a .22. Had to lob the round in. Never had any idea I'd hit it, just wanted to scare it. Well' I actually didn't know it was a cat 'cause it was so far off. Anyhow twinney years later I told Jerry. Jerry, he's muh cousin. Down in Arkansas.
My uncle had an old water truck he used on his farm years ago, it retired in the woods when I was still a teenager. It's got about a million holes in it from a marlin .22 , I used to be able to shoot bottle caps with that 22 from 50 feet.Good memories, hadn't thought about that in years.
I shot an F-16 with a .45 Cal Muzzleloader when he strafed our hunting party in Florida...Blew a Hole in The fuselage when I led him about 20 feet and fired ! :jaw:

my cousin and i used to duct tape 12ga shells in trees and shoot the primers with our B.B. guns. when we got older we tried it with a turtle and a 30.06...the result was very close to the level of varorization!
Oh yeah, I shooted a Doe with a M-1 and when the Warden come up on me, I told him it was self defence.
I would have a huge list. I will edit this later and tell ya once I get back. Have to go QUICK!!!!!
*EDIT*
This is a total of all the various things I've shot at using BB guns to rifles.
T.V.'s
Trees
Sheets of tin
Old ovens
Old refrigerators
Old planks of wood
Squirrels
humming birds (and other various brids when I was a kid)
Deer (yum)
Old motorcycle gas tanks (EMPTY of course)
....hmmmm I can't remember the rest.

My neatest adventure was when I had to qualify at Camp Pendleton on the thousand yard range. We had to use the T&E on the tripod, and had old vehicles to shoot at. I got lined up on a jeep, and cut it in two with my M60 fungun.
I've shot all sorts of things over the years (mostly dumb things when I was younger).
One of the more memorable moments was when I lined up the sights on my brand new Daisy BB gun with a 4x4 birdfeeder post at about 25 feet. I actually saw the BB hit the post and return directly to the middle of my chest. It didn't hurt much, but it was at that moment I realized a shooter should really think about where a round might go once you squeeze the trigger.
I was very young and that event is still very vivid, and I remember it every time I shoot.
It's funny how doing stupid things makes you smarter...

hmm...weird things? i guess the only weird stuff i ever shot was a boat and a tv....the boat was in a woods with holes already. thinkin of bbs ricocheting....i had a very similar incident when i was younger, shot a board with a target taped on and saw the bb coming back at me, blinked just in time to have it hit my eyebrow, quite a close call i suppose.
As a kid, in wintertime some of us would shoot the overhead power cable insulators (with .22 airguns), they would go with a crack & then if you were lucky the wires would flash & short out! Blacked out the village but it was fun!
