Have you checked out how Mexico handles illegal immigration and immigrants on its southern borders? It's draconian. Of course, they defend what THEY do as "necessary."

They don't do it because they're being PC; they do it because the big-money political donors in this country want and demand cheap labor. And if they can't get it from the locals, they're perfectly willing to flood the country with desperate immigrants.

Of course, when they succeed in turning us into a third-world cheap-labor pool, who's going to able to afford their products?

Let's just say there are 11 million illegals in this country,then add the legals that will side with them,then add the sympathizers and supporters,then add the greedy businesses,add them all up,how many?
Let's say50 million. Now how do you force that many folks to do your will,especially when they will stick together. What if it came to having to use force? Do you think that will happen?
No way,they are gonna get what they want,becuse it has been let go too long and there are too many,it's a done deal.
All the political crap we see on tv is just that,pointing fingers and posturing for the up coming elections.
We can't truthfully blame it all on one party or the other,it's all about money,vote buying,and just plain old greed,been going on a long time,didn't just happen over night or on one watch.
Like most things that have screwed this country up it happens slowly while we make excuses for not doing something until it is too late,it is now too late.
Now,what's next on the agenda,the war,the outsouncing of jobs,bird flu,hummm,the list goes on.
Just beaching,life is still pretty good,could be a lot worse,we still have the best country in the world and can probably get by in spite of ourselves.

:ballons: However, you are wrong on almost all of your ascertions. How do i know, you ask? Immagrants from China and the Phillpines don't ask for anything but a job. they generally are very good workers and try to learn english as fast as possible because they want to succed at thier work and improve themselves financially. I know of not one asian person who has asked for anything for free. Likewise, they cannot be sneaking in in great numbers because they must have a visa to enter this country. Never heard of an asian sneaking across the border, have you? Further more, I have been trying to bring a Chinese woman here, legally for three years and the government will not give her a visa! It's clear to me that cheap labor is the goal for big business and screw all Americans. however, there is one point I certainly do agree with you one....AMERICA FIRST! IF you are illegal, deportation after your time in jail.

Oppps! I have re-read your post, to be sure I did not miss anything. I see I did miss your point......(Sorry, I am a little defensive on the Chinese thing and all the anti-chinese crap I hear annoys me since it is thier government that's evil......the people have always treated me kindly) I now see, you were refering to the south-O-the border types.....and I agreee with you completly! Remember the third world of florida is infested with these folks and they are nothing but a burden on the state. Thier only goal is thier advancement, never mind the state, city or area in which they live......they have no desire, for the most part, to become a part of America and be real Americans.:nod:

Two points:

1. I lived in an apartment next to a 10-apartment complex in Silverlake, CA years ago. The mailman stuffed the mail for it into my mailbox one day for some furschlugginer reason, and when I managed to pry it out, there were 43 separate government checks for those ten apartments, and every single one had an asian name on it.

2. Having grown up in California, and having been a contractor here, I've never seen a lazy illegal Mexican. It's their kids who are raised here that become lazy and develop a "gimmee" attitude.

I had a Mexican short change me at the Manchu Wok restaurant. None of them could speak too clearly. Ironically, the Cajun Cafe was full of easterners who, amidst their accents and pronunciation difficulties, always spoke adequately.

I've joked at times that the young Asian ladies who work at Chinese restaurants talk with a stereotypical Chinese accent as part of the atmosphere, and then after closing talk with the most normal American accents.

Rufus I can understand your frustration considering your "special circumstances".
Just to clarify, my post above wasn't concerning people immigrating to the USA from China, or the philipines, or brasil or el salvador or the uae or any other place , my post was talking about the same thing Moosemans post is talking about, people from the USA immigrating to those countrys I listed, and expecting to get the same benefits they get here.It just won't happen! Take the examples Mooseman listed, and go to ANY country I listed and ask their government for those benefits and see what happens, ESPECIALLY if you happen to be a jew or a christian(or a buddhist, or hindu, or atheist or etc etc.) and you immigrate to a islamic republic (why one would do this is beyond me) and see what happens.

No harm done and I appreciate your direct response. It's just that almost anytime one reads anything about the Chinese it's always some bull about how evil they are and such. When i was in China they all treated me respectfully and went out of thier way to accomadate me such as in one example I used sometime back when i went to church there. the usher brought me a larger chair (I'm a big man) and, the following week, remembered my name and provided me with another large chair and a person to translate for me. After both services, he came to me and thanked me for comeing and asked me to please return when i was back in China. I thought that was very nice for a commie! My point being, they are just like us...wanting only to be free and have something left after the bills are paid. As to the state of the economy, we buy thier stuff! Who's fault is that?
