Bush Blames Reid on Immigration Bill

Can it be? Whethter he did it for the right reasons I am glad he did it.

Quote:
"I call on the Senate minority leader to end his blocking tactics and allow the Senate to do its work and pass a fair, effective immigration reform bill," Bush said in his weekly radio address.
God! He makes me wanna puke.

Huh???

"After bewildering political maneuvering, a key vote produced only 38 senators, all Democrats, in support - 22 short of the 60 needed."

last time I checked, the Republicans were the majority party. And it's the fault of the Democrats they can't get their act together?

I am glad it didn;t pass there was a piece in there that required all immigration judges having proacticed immigration law for 5 years and being that all of the lawyers are liberals then all the applications would be approved - Kennedy added that piece.

I figure some sort of amnesty-type legislation is inevitable, sooner or later. I'm just enjoying the show while Dems and Republicans alike try to straddle the fence and please all sides.

Exclamation

It's nothing more than a feel good crock that Bush wants to ramrod through before it gets read, some spokes people said they haven't even read it but have an idea what it's about.
If we are going to make law let's find out what it is first, let's wait until after the break and pass something that at least sounds good, after all,it's been going on for years and I don't trust Bush anymore,
What a disappointment he has been to me.
I will not vote for more of this crap, but I can't bring myself to vote Democrat. I sure hope something good comes along soon.

I'm in favor of amnesty - That is that illegals have X amount of days to leave the country before we prosecute.

back to the same ol squabbling BS. Who gives a fat rats arss, the compromise is dead and needs to stay dead. What we need to be focusing on is replacing all 100 Senators, I know Brownback here in kansass backed the compromise, so I say he gets unelected as soon as possible. He wants to run for pres in '08 and if he stays his course he ain't gonna get 2% of the vote. Now we have Patriots burning mexican flags in Phoenix, how long before it gets ugly???

A smart republican could take 80% of the vote on this issue alone, but smart and republican go together like smart and democrap.

I don't understand how it is that so many people wanna kick em out and seal the border, but it doesn't get done. What happened to the will of the people. It's a sad state.

I was talking with my in-laws about this, and a few other things like welfare abuse, and my mother in law says, "I'm just so tired of being outraged." Really summed up how I feel.

.22guy, this is why, at least as I see it. The repubs know most of us will not vote dem even if there are only dems to vote for. So, they can wipe thier collective arses in our face and we just come back and vote for them again. the way they see it is, we just don't have any other choice. Sadly, they are correct.
