People love to buy cheap houses. People love cheap lansdscaping. Well, why do you think the prices are so low? If employers hired only legal residents costs will go up dramatically.

I couldn't disagree more about the "cheap" prices. The prices aren't any cheaper, just the frick'n labor. The boss' still charge the same, thier "overhead" is only reduced. The boss takes home the extra and don't pollute yourself into thinking we're getting cheap goods just because someone is getting cheap labor out of them. Doesn't work that way, it's called reducing overhead - a very simple and basic business idea. To increase profits you decrease overhead (the cost of doing business).
The costs of goods if legals were hired would go up but not as drastically as you think, it's still a free market system, people will go out and find the best deal. If I raise my prices to cover the costs fo hiring legals and someone else is undercutting me, I'll have to lower my prices or go out of business. If all employers hired no one but legal residents you would see prices go up a little but it would stabilize cause it's a self supporting system, and as long as the dollar is doing good.
They are only 5% of the work force - did the country shut down this past Monday?? Not even close and a huge amount of them didn't show up for work and alot didn't open thier businesses that day. They lost money and we didn't feel a thing.

I did construction for a while and I saw that the overall prices were less with the cheap labor. The boss charged the customer less and we got more jobs as a result.
Some places more than others of course. Here, 95% of the construction work force are all ilegal.

Me? I think I have a pretty good understanding of exactly what it is doing. I see this stuff on a daily bases while others just read about it.
I am sure you do, but just because the business you worked for profitted, illegal immigration is still hurting this country more than helping(im sure you would agree with that)

Of course. To bad we didn't stop this problem before it got so out of hand like it is now. A million or two oh well, but when it is up to 20 plus million we have a big problem. They say it is 11 million, but I know that it is much much more. There has to be at least a few million here alone.
