Gonna buy a truck!

Well went to look at it today. 1970 F100 shortbed with a 302 & 3 on the tree! Bed in great condition. Body in real good condition. Some minor surface rust to take care of and two dents to pull out; 1 in each fender. No AC No PS No AT! The way God meant it to be! Told the old timer to call me when he gets the clearance from his doctor to drive next week.

I can go either way when you get into that era; old is good.

I also have a Two tone Navy/Silver 76 classic ElCamino to restore this summer. It is the only classic I have seen with the SS interior: Bucket seats with auto on the floor w/350 2-bbl. I even have Grandma's camper shell still on it.

lemme guess, swivel buckets right? sweet. i have an old 1961 merc unibody truck. the one where the cab and box is one complete body. needs a lot of TLC, but one day it'll get there. done enough work to her that i can't quit now. the real project on the go is a 1979 chev belair 2 door, the one with the funny bent rear window. body is pretty much finished and the power train is just about there. interior, well that is another matter right now. both of these time/money consumers are a pretty rare find and are a lot of fun.

Joe and Paul

Those trucks are gorgeous if they are restored properly. I highly recommend taking the time and making that baby shine. I would have loved to see yours restored Joe.

Best of luck Paul!

I never got the chance to put the fleet side on it and finish lowering before I sold her. Now I wish I had her back and sold my girlfriend.:right:

Man those 70's model Fords were as tough as nails! I remember my grandpaw had a 70 something 4x4 with something like a 427 engine. It would go anywhere. I sure would hate to have to put gas in it now days!!!

I found an early 70's at a garage with a 390 interceptor in it, man didn't want to sell it. I see alot of old fords around here. I'll try to get pics of it once I get it home. Got to clean out the garage to park it, that'll peeve off the wife!
