It's together...

I know the scope is huge for this rifle, but I already had it so free works for now.

So anyway, let me have it. What do you think?

It's a Stag Arms lower, RRA lower parts kit, ACE skeleton stock, and Model1Sales 16" varmint upper. The scope is a 4-16x50 with a lighted reticle, and aside from being too big for the gun, works well and has a clear picture. I will post range reports with pics next weekend. I went yesterday and shot it, but I only had the scope base finger tight. (it still held about a 1.5" group, so I'm expecting excellent results).

Thanks to all (especially Pred) who gave me input on everything.

Nice looking AR ya got there. What trigger guard do you have installed? How do you like the ACE stock?

Thanks, it's the RRA winter trigger guard. I have the regular one if anyone needs one btw....

The ACE stock is nice. It does have some slight side to side movement, like twisting almost, but not anything that makes a difference. I will say this... that foam / padded sleeve is a PITA to get on. I had to use the soapy water the recommended, and once it's on, it's on. You have to cut the sleeve off and put a new one on if you need to take it off for any reason. Apparently they sell replacements... ???
If I could do it again, I'd spend the extra $70 or so and get the ACE collapsible one. If you want to buy this one let me know.

That's a good looking gun. I'm glad you posted...

How did that bipod attach? I'm wanting to get one, but I'm not sure how to attach it to that free-float tube... Is there any way you can post close up pics of that, or is it pretty simple?

Thanks in advance

I got a YHM swivel sling stud(YHM-9469) Then I use a 17/64 drill bit and then a ran a 5/16-32 tap through it, added some lock tite and screwed in the swivel stud. The only hard part is finding the center of the FF tube.

I now know I am not alone in the large scope catagory...however most still seem to prefer the "shortie" models to the longer ones, I on the other hand am selling a shorty, and getting a 24" tac.
