Lightbulb Go With Lapua

Don't know if you'll see this, but I personally prefer the Lapua Midas Plus, especially if you get it from here: Lapua 22 ammunition. These guys always have real low prices on these and other ammos, hope this helps...

I have always liked RWS Target Rifle, Eley Target Rifle and Eley Club Extra in rifles but CCI Green Tag and Standard Velocity are great too.

For plinking I like Federal of winchester bulk. But Aguila makes some good ammo too. I sometimes like to shoot some high or hyper velocity stuff from either Federal, CCI or Aguila, CCI generally makes very good ammo.

I stay away from non plated .22lr, it fouls up the barrel too much, i only use plated, or jacketed ammo.

It all depends on the gun I'm shooting.
My Ruger Mark II loves the Federal bulks, but hates the Winchester bulk. My S&W 617 revolvers loves the Win., but hates the Federal. Both love the CCI but for plinking a bit high $$.
My Marlin 39A lever action rifle shoots the CCI best, but will do well with just about any ammo except for the really cheapo lead stuff. My Marlin 60 likes Winchester Hollow Points best, and puts the CCI all over it seems (older model gun). My Mossburg 803 Plinkster doesn't get shot very much, so she tries to do well with anything in effort to get out more. For a cheap bolt action gun (pd. $94.00 OTD for her new), she does well with about anything. My Ruger .22 Charger is still new enough to have not made up her mind, but likes the CCI best so far.
As for my Dad's old Winchester pump .22, it likes the medium power stuff. CCI just seems to be too high power for the old girl.

All this has come from MUCH shooting of a lot of different types of ammo. Best thing is, .22 is still relatively cheap, so you can try various types and if your gun doesn't like it, you can just "burn it up" and not break the bank.

well, my savage likes federal automatch the best, next is cci minimags, followed by wolf target match. the auto match is cheap enough to plink with so it works out, and i havent found a dud yet. ive never had a blazer not fire either. the big bulk packs of fed,win and rem ive had duds, rem were the worst. i get a dud in every 50 ive ever bought of the win grey boxed stuff and the rem offerings. i did like the centurian 40 grn loads i tried. i couldnt get stingers or velocitors or win expediters to group for crap. and ill add that the stingers didnt offer better penatration compaired to mini mags in my testing, and velocitors only slightly better. the moral of the story, find what your rifle shoots best, and use it.

I keep a few boxes of every brand I can find on hand and when I get a new 22 I let the gun decide what it likes

I shoot Remington and Federals for plinking. I like the bullet in the remingtons better, I get better groups with them. But I have found alot more dud's and powder deviations in the remington stuff than the federal. The remington bullets seam to be a little more lethal/explosive to small game also. But like I said it doesn't do you any good if the bullet doesn't get to the target.
For hunting and serious target shooting their is none better than CCI for the price.

I only use Remington when I can't find anything else affordable. Its been my experience that Remington ammo makes for a lot longer cleaning session. Federal is my bet for bulk packs. When hunting, CCI's do it good.

They're all good for plinking. But, some are better for match and hunting.

Elly is suppose to be great for match. I have used Federal with no problems...CCI Mini-Mags are excellent as well. All of course are IMHO.
