I just got mine in the mail today, installed in less than an hour. VERY solid, well made stock, it weighs a bit more than the original hollow plastic stocks High Points come with. They don't make this stock for the 40 carbine yet, but I'm hopeful. I have the accessory siderails on order , they should be here next week. It looks a LOT like the Beretta Storm 9mm carbine stocks to me.
You mean the 9mm and 40 stocks aren't interchangeable? Ohh, woe is me. I'm thinking Hi-Point may be wise to consider contracting ATI to make their stocks, at least some. I would consider it a mutually beneficial arrangement. That way folks won't spend their money twice.

Well I'm only going by what ATI told me on the phone, that the 9mm carbine is the rifle the ATI stock was built for. There's a High Point forum where i read the same thing, that the 40sw carbine won't fit this stock. I was under the assumption all this time that they were basically the same pattern, but apparently not. I much prefer this ATI stock to the cheap hollow -plastic stock High Point produces for their carbines. It would be a great idea if High Point had ATI make ALL their stocks for their carbines, the cheap looking/feeling High Point hollow plastic "toygun" stocks probably keep people from buying their carbines. Myself personally, I liked the accuracy and dependability of their carbines enough to warrant buying one of each, and will be buying the .45acp carbine when it's released end of summer(hopefully)

Now that I've found this stock I'll be buying a 995 this month and ording the stock as soon as possible. kudos to ATI for this. Since this seems to be a CX4 Storm stock clone, i'm wondering if some of the simple accesories will work offered by berretta, like their hard plastic molded case

Trey, I have one of the Ruger "Police Carbines" in 9, and enjoy shooting it a lot.
I load for a number of different cartridges, and in an effort to simplify my inventory, which seems to take on a life of its own if not kept in check, I decided to eliminate the 9mm bullet and use the Winchester 110 gr HBHPMJ in .357 dia for all my 38's, .357's, and 9mm loads.
Realizing that the .357 is two thousandths larger than the .355 9mm, I was a little worried, but I have been loading the Hornady 90 gr .308 for a number of different .30 cal cartridges, and have been well pleased with the results, and upon close reading of the label on the box, I find that they are NOT .308, but according to Hornady, as well as my micrometer, they are .309, one thousandth larger than the standard for most 30 cal loads.
I reasoned that if a reputable manufacturer would knowingly make a 30 caliber bullet oversize by one thousandth, that it wouldn't hurt TOO much for the significantly larger .357 to squirt down the bore of a 9, so I dumped 4 grains of Bullseye in and put the .357 bullet on top of it, seated for proper COL, and it works BEAUTIFULLY for me, even if the bullet DOES leave a "panty line" on the brass.
I am NOT recommending that you do the same, but am just passing on my experiences.
What I enjoy about loading is the experimenting, such as described above, and will readily admit that in a few cases, I have been glad I was wearing gloves and/or double goggles and/or face shields, but on the plus side, I have discovered some remarkably rewarding loads.
I always think of the names like Weatherby, O'Connor, Roberts, Norma, and a bunch of others who thought enough of the sport to "drift away from the book", and while I readily admit that I am in no way even close to these guys, heck, I'm not even worthy to clean their brass, I am nonetheless glad that they did their "experimenting".
I sometimes think I enjoy loading more than shooting, but when you make it, you gotta use it, or it'll just pile up on ya.
Our stock will ONLY fit the 9mm. As of right now, we've no intentions of producing a stock for the .40 caliber.

Thanks, taurus! We're trying to make attractive, affordable stocks. While we realize that we're not going to attract Purdey or other high-end gun owners, we do feel that there is a great market for fun guns like the Hi-Point 9mm and also room for improvement on the stock that comes originally on the gun.
