K31 7.5x55 swiss.(Schmidt Rubin)

I've shot a few of these at the range and realised what an exceptional rifle these are for the money. I got mine from centerfiresystems.com with walnut stock for 129.00. I checked at the following website
http://www.radix.net/~bbrown/schmidt_rubin.html#m1911c for manufacture date, according to what I read there, it's a 1941 rifle.(Serial number series 677xxx. After removing the butt plate I found the previous owners info card, it dates from 1922! I'll only assume the rifle was restocked at some point with the stock from an older rifle.I read the posts from nrajoe about contact information for previous owners and may try to find the guy I have a few questions about ammo for this rifle tho. Does wolf still make it, and if so how good is it. The cheapest I've found here locally is 34.99 for 60 rounds of some kind of czech ammo.Online I've found 480 rounds for 200 bucks. I don't reload(yet, still saving brass and cash for equipment) so reloading is out for now.Is there a website online for reloaders who maybe sell their "surplus" ammo?Or am I stuck with high dollar ammo till i reload it myself? Thanks in advance for any help , ya'll have proven to be a reliable avenue of information time and time again.

Huntington has anything in reloading that you might need. Didn't see any case forming dies for the 7.5 Swiss. Looked like a die set was $130.00. Hmmm?

I love my 2 K31's...got a beech and a walnut...had another beech but sold that one...stock was pretty craptacular on that one.

The two I have now have above average stocks (very few dings)
I have a reply from the walnut stock previous owner (soldier) he even wrote me back in english...

I had a reply from the beech that I sold also...
Both of them truly loved their rifles and bragged about the accuracy.

My new beech is a real beauty...I cleaned up the stock and put 5 coats of tung oil on it...no reply back on this one yet...wrote 4 people and it was not them...got 4 more to write too.

I posted a thread about how to reach the previous owners and asked for it to be made a sticky in thr C&R section but the moderator is awol as usual in that forum...if I can find it I'll give it a bump so you can see it.

if you find a good source of ammo, take it up because the ammo is getting a little harder to find then most other calibers, at least in my area. you get the best deals online anyways

I can't confirm it but I've heard Wolf is going to produce, or are producing, ammo.

If that is the case I'll wait and see what it turns out like.

Otherwise I have my sights on reloading soon.
