Big 5 has a great deal on most of them. i dont know where you live, but they are not all over the country(Big 5). Also, you may look at AIM surplus or Southern Ohio Gun. i havent checked their deals lately. both my M44 and 91/30 came from a Big 5

Not necessarily the best prices, but this guy usually has some of the rarer stuff. He's got some 1950's Romanians and Russian 91\59's right now.http://allans-armory.com/aa.asp

If you keep track, you can get a 91/30, an M44, or an M38 for 89.00 when they're on sale. Sometimes the 91/30's come with full accessories, which means bayonet, sling, double-spouted oil/grease can, ammo pouch and tool. That's what got me hooked a couple of years ago on Mosins, and I have seven in my safe at the moment.

The M38's usually have M44 stocks, but what do you want for the price?

Classicarms.us usually has'em. They even have some M-44s and M-38s chromed. They are "plum purdy". They are good people to deal with.

In the east and the midwest, Dunhams Sporting Goods. Anywhere from 100.00 to 80.00. No license required and you can fondle first and pick.

I saw some M-39s and M-44s, they had had chromed, at a gunshow in Charlotte a few months back and they were something to behold. I was sorely tempted, but didn't have the extra cash for one.
