| Banned | First weekend on duty Well, I've finally got my first three 12 hour nights behind me, have a 3am-7am tonight/tomorrow morning and I'll be off until Friday night. First night there the SO brings in two drunks, one of which I know, matter of fact I know a lot of people in jail. Anyways, so one guy waits with us in pre-trial while his buddy is getting booked in. He asks for one of his cigarettes, we tell him he didn't have any, he laughs, and "thud", boys on the ground having a seizure with blood running out of the back of his head. So after a few minutes he becomes responsive and keeps asking why theres a towel on the back of his head. Finally EMS arrives and takes him to the hospital. He had a cut on the back of his head about 3 inches long and half inch wide, almost looked like a skull fracture but wasn't. He spend the next 24 hours in a coma, then when they release him the PD is waiting to take him back on child support charges. Seems he had swallowed somewhere between a half to an once crack rock when they got pulled over. There was blood splatter all over the wall and a puddle of blood on the floor. Saturday night went by quick but was boring, then Sunday night we sent two guys to the hole for doing a tattoo, and then went around doing cell checks and found porn. For the most part I'm starting to get comfortable with the inmates, only a few cells that I don't like going in and thats mainly because of numbers. Those cells probably have 30 inmates in them, were as the others have like 12-15. All in all I think this morning at breakfast we had 275 inmates total. |

| Banned | Oh, something else I forgot to tell. Friday night when I worked in control, there was a 22 year old male on suicide watch. So I got to asking about him, seems he is a repeat sex offender..... oh but wait, it gets better. Apparently he had to be moved to suicide watch for two reasons. One, he's finally figured out that his charges are serious and is all of a sudden saying he wants to kill himself. Second, the sex offenders were beating the crap out of him. He's in for sodomy under 12 years old, and I think sexual assault under 16. He was bragging about why and how he did it, even to the guards. One of the guys who trained me actually had to leave the building for a few minutes to stop from just killing the kid after he was bragging to him about it. |
