Question Rem 870 Riot Express Sling

Hi,
I have the 870 Express Riot and wanting to put a sling on it. Anyone have any recommendations? Seems as if I'll have to drill/tap the underside of the buttstock...or is there an alternative to that. If I do need to drill....any tips? I don't have a drill press so it'd have to be put in my gun vise and take my best attempt with my hand drill I suppose. Any recommendations on tactical slings and/or swivels would be welcome. My 870 is solely going to be used (hopefully never actually used) for home defense.
Cheers

When I put the sling on my Winchester Model1200 Defender I used a hand drill and compared other rifles and shotguns, I drilled as close to perpendicular as possible and it came out perfect. At the foreward end I drilled a hole in the Magazine end cap and put a machind thread stud with a nut, I used quick release swivels with a black nylon tachical sling. You may want to consider a three point tachical sling, which doesn't require drilling the wood stock.
