My SA

Lest we not foreget the old warhorses. :right:

Of course I'll wait for that guy who disagrees with everyone and everything to tell me that the Winchester or HR Garand was soooooooo much better. :uzi:

Thanks,
Has original barrel (1944) shoots 2.5"~3" at 125 yards (the longest range I've shot it)

It's overdue to have the stock sent off to be re-done. Doc if your reading this, I appologize.

I don't know, I think I'd leave it alone. Maybe buy a new one? I think they sell them at midwayusa.

The handguards are replacements. The gun stock is WWII original. It has a cartouche. Stock Doc here has a good track record of restoration and saving them. Hopefully, when done, the hand guards will match the stock a bit better albeit not guaranteed. It's actually more economical to restore than to buy a replacement.

I've got a late 5,xxx,xxx SA at the gunsmith getting new springs, firing pin, etc.Figured I'd treat her for her 50th birthday. As soon as she's back, she'll get a face lft from Doc.
