First Pistol

Ok, I got $200 dollars for my B-day and was wondering, what .22 handgun should I buy? I have at the moment, a Browning Buckmark, Ruger MkII and some revolver that I forgot the model. All in .22. But I was looking at the Ruger Single Six. I loveeeeeee cowboy-style guns, and this will mostly be a rabbit gun. Maybe a range gun if our range will quit doing revenovations. SO what do yall think?

Either of the Rugers will serve you well.

I'm going to take a wild guess the revolver was from Heritage Manufacturing? They are okay but I really like the Ruger single actions. They are just cool. I would recommend you try and rent some of the guns you're considering at your local range before you buy. Just an idea. Good luck and I'm sure you will love shooting any of the guns you mentioned.

Oh, NMV guys, the revolver he had was a H&R Rough Rider. I called my grandad (he stores all the family guns.) and he told me what it was so.

Ruger 22/45 Mark II. Not Mark III. Both the Mark III and the 22/45 Mark III have been reported as less reliable since their release. Loaded Chamber Indicator has been screwing up the gun reportedly.

I have a single six and I love it. It would be a good first handgun for you + you can shoot 22 mags as well
