Rock Island 1911?

I have been considering a 1911, but I don't want to spend $500 or more. Classic Arms has the Rock Island 1911-A1 for $319. I have heard some good things about them but wanted to get more input and information before I make a decision.

Your thoughts?

Thanks,

I've also heard good and bad. Some guys at the gun shop said they were crap, made of weak metal. But you know how that goes.

We have them around here for 300 and I'll admit it's pretty tempting. Maybe do a google search and try to find some reviews? If you get it, let us know how it is. Good luck.
