Switching to Win. primers

Went shooting today with my M\N M-39. I got to round nmbr. 11 and got nothing but a click resulting in a bullet barely lodged in the rifling and case full of flake powder dumped in the mag and chamber. This was the last few rds. of a batch that I had loaded with Federal lg. rifle primers and about every one in ten was a dud., my son had the same prob. with a case of factory loaded Fed. 12 ga. ammo last dove season.

I use Winchester primers exlusively.

To be honest the only real pain in the butt primers I have encountered are CCI.

I use Federal Gold Match primers about 95% of the time. I personally love Federals goods, brass, primers, etc..
However I do use Winchecter for my 223 and 270 with good results.

I have used Win.large (and small) rifle primers for years, and have never had a problem.
