Misfires in DA with T-445

I've started to have misfires when shooting DA with my Taurus 445. Symptom is a light firing pin imprint. Never happens when shooting single action, but to be honest the hammer cocks a little further back than the position where it releases when firing DA so I would think the spring would have a little more power. I thought about getting a Wolff spring but they only supply reduced power springs for a Taurus. Even if I got a stronger spring, I can't see how I would be able to mount it on the strut. Is there a tool for mounting mainsprings? Does anyone have a possible solution other than the obvious one of sending it back to Taurus?

PS - I'm shooting ammo with Winchester primers, not CCI's or anything with a reputation of being hard to set off.
