| Resident Armed Liberal ![]() | It was on a stake in the shoulder of a road outside of Menifee, CA, and had an American flag sticking out of each top corner. It was a white sign, with red and blue lettering that read, "Welcome back, Captain Doermann! You're seven miles from home!" That was the only one I saw, but I'm betting there was one at every turn between the 215 fwy and his house. I've never met the good captain, but apparently someone is glad he's home.

| Super Moderator ![]() ![]() | Captain Doermann most likely was involved in current war activities. I think it's great when family, friends, and other citizens show their appreciation upon their return home, especially after being in harm's way. They deserve even more if it was possible. ![]()

| Gun Liker ![]() | This reminds of of something.. Several years ago I was riding to work on my dirt bike, I wasn`t feeling very cheerful. I`d stopped riding along the highway after deciding if I was going to risk my life, I`d do it on my own terms, so I`d ride to work the back way past all the coal mines and then the suburbs. So I`m riding, early in the grey morning with my left fist on my hip as you do when you`re not feeling to productive about life. I see a sign nailed to a tree: `Feeling run down?` About a K later I see another nailed to a telephone pole: `Has life past you by?` then further on `Nothing you do seem right anymore?` I`m like what the... Then `Just turned 40? ` after while I see : ` don`t worry 15 or 16 years later it still makes me smile. |
