Couple months ago I put 140 rds through my M44 lammy...but 110 rds was the Czech 44 gr practice ammo and 30 were 147 gr Czech silvertip....

That was the most fun I ever had shooting a MN...

I've gone on marathon shoots like that with my M38 and my shoulder was purple for almost a week after. But it was so much fun that I would definitely do it again!

I get the same looks and questions every time I take the M44 to the range, especially now that it's getting dark sooner, my last dozen rounds of the day are usually in twilight conditions now, there's almost always a small gathering behind me to watch the muzzle blast! I have 6 different types of ammo now, the wolf seems to produce the best fireworks!

The Czech surplus throws some good flames too...even the 44gr practice ammo.

Yup I have some Czech surplus ammo, comes in pale blue paper packs of 20, I got a full case(880 rounds) of it some time ago, it's got a good flame, but so far the wolf seems to throw the biggest fireball. The hungarian heavy ball (yellowtip) places a close second

Sure is pretty cool to reach up and touch your shoulder a few days after a marathon like that and go, Oh eyah! that was a good day at the range. 70 rounds in 2 hours in the M44 was alot of fun. One guy had his kid there shooting a .22lr remington, and the kid saw the muzzle flash and told me "Man that thing is like a flamethrower, but it sure is ugly" then he turned to his dad and said. "Can I get one of those for my next rifle?" I thought his father shudderred a little bit before he said, "we will see, son."
