Governor Moonbeam just lost my vote

For those of you who don't remember, that's what they used to call Jerry Brown when he was governor of California. He's running for Attorney General this time around, and I was thinking it might not be a bad idea to have him in the Governator's hair during his next term.

But I heard a radio ad for Brown today warning us all about his Republican opponent's "extreme views." A sample: "he thinks fifty-caliber assault weapons should be legal."

Anyone know where I can get me one of them .50-cal assault weapons? They sound like fun...

Try Percussion

They're a bit slow on the reload, but dang accurate: a nice 50 cal Hawken (1850 style "Assault Weapon"). Just what Calyforny needs. Might even be legal - this week. Heilung

You can still buy black powder guns off the shelf, or wall or whatever.

Jerry Brown lost my vote the moment that he announced that he was running for the AG office.

On a similar note that is why I won't be voting for the govenator, because he signed the stupid ban.

I saw several ads showing how a .50 cal could punch through 2 police cars and still kill you. Complete with little animation and everything. The funny thing about that whole ban is that they sell a 50 caliber rifle here in CA that has the neck angle changed a fraction of a inch and and the case length is something like .001 shorter. Since it's not a .50 BMG it's legal. Saw them at the gun show. Thing was a monster and probably weighed 20-30 pounds. Also cost 4-6 thousands bucks. Don't really remember. But I'm pretty sure Johnny Crackfiend won't hold up the 7-11 with one.

A .50 BMG is an extremely powerful round. In some opinions, including mine it is the most powerful round for a shoulder fired weapon. The odds that some gangsta kid would have the funding to buy one, or the ammo to run through it are slim. And, if the kid had that kind of money, why would he be robbing anybody??

Plus, the recoil is a big issue if you don't know what your doing.

Talking

Don't y'all listen to Sarah Brady and Diane Feinstein? The .50BMG is THE weapon of choice of today's hip young urban street yute Gangsta. That's why their pants hang so low . . .
