Just found this site and thought I would say hello. Yes I am addicted to Garands, it doesn't help any that I live about 100 miles from CMP's North Store.
Here a some pics of a few of my rifles
Welcome aboard and very nice rifles. I too am that close to the CMP but have learned to control myself over the years hahahahaha. Which end are you at? I am in Cleveland, Ohio. Rick B

i can see how Gen. Patton was right. "best battle rifle ever!"
i never shot a Garand, but i trained with an M14 and carried one for my first nine months in country. (IMO close to the same rifle in many ways)

TBone,
Welcome to the group.
No worries about being 18 with an M1. It is more respectable than an 18yo with an UZI.

Oh yeah by the way just to perk your guys' interest the person who I bought it from has done some research on it and apparently it was made in 1942 and from what I can tell it is all original and in outstanding condition. the stock is pretty much black with some dings in it but every part seems to me original (I think anyway not an expert again I'm a newbie at this) but yeah I will see about gettin some pics and again thanks for the warm welcome
