Pahrump resident Michael Miraglia proposed the ban because, he said, he got upset when he saw immigrant activists marching through U.S. cities last spring, waving Mexican flags. Mr. Miraglia told USA Today that he was especially miffed that "we had Mexican restaurants closed that day."
Quote:
Besides, the spectacle with the Mexican flags was no different than what happened a few weeks later when American Jews marched in Los Angeles and New York, waiving the Israeli flag to show support for Israel in its war against Hezbollah. About that, there were few complaints.
Or your town? Thanks giving, history wise, started the takeover of the American Indian, and when they started putting them on reservations [camps], A wise chief said to the soldiers, that with all the foreigners coming to America, We too would go the way of the Indian. Is that coming true?
As far as I am concerned anyone doing that should be sent packing!
Flying the flag of a country they left to come here is another insult we have to endure,to fly it under our flag is ok,but to fly it in place of or over is disgusting.
Thanks giving, history wise, started the takeover of the American Indian?
Thanksgiving was a friendly gathering of settlers and Indians who were not in conflict. Until the Indian Wars of the 19th century, the political entities of white Americans and Indians were only in conflict on a case by case basis. Ie the Iroquios vs the French. Yes there was a gradual progression but the Pilgrims who had the first Thanksgiving feast were not there to remove the Indians, they were there to form the society they believed in free from England. Neither was the first Thanksgiving feast a big "we are the world" gathering where, everyone observed someone else's religion - at least one of the Indians there was a Christian.

BRG3 Yes that did start later, just trying to make the point that sometimes I feel we are being replaced with groups that haven't caught on to their scam of the American dream. It used to be if someone staked their foreign flag here it was an act of war. If we were to try that down there....
I have to be honest...for the most part I am pretty open minded, but slowly I realized that we all must become hard on the core beliefs of America in order to preserve it.
I support this law. No flag should be higher than the American flag in this country.
I take it you never served our country in the armed forces.
No respecting veteran would EVER suggest flying any other flag other than the US flag is OK.
A veteran may have given you the right to free choice but that doesn't mean your free choice is the right choice.
I get really burned at people who suggest we just throw in the American icons and beliefs for some liberal sided ideal!
And it tee'd me off when those demonstrators were waving the Mexican flag.
But I don't think everything that tee's me off should be against the law.
