There's a young man here who was wounded early in the war

The fourth day, as a matter of fact. He got his legs stitched with AK fire, and his heart stopped twice because he bled out. He almost lost one leg; they had to replace a piece of his femoral artery. He was discharged with a 90% disability at the age of 18, after getting his Purple Heart from Bush in person.

So what's he been doing with himself since? Trying to get back in. He doesn't like the war ("it has no real purpose" was one of the kinder things he's said), but he doesn't want to watch it on TV while his friends are fighting it without his help.

It took him all this time, a whole lot of rehab and four separate trips to Fort Lewis. But the Army just took him back after he demonstrated he was physically able to do his job, and he's rejoining his outfit.

That is amazing. What is even more amazing is the positve attitude they have about it.

Soldiers do not fight for ideas they fight for their team mates.

Question

If"The war has no purpose" was one of his kinder statements then why is going back in? It must be for his team mates, dam good man.
