| That had to be a pretty hungry couger to venture down and attempt to go after one of the dogs. The Mule played a pretty big part in the American West. It was even used in cattle round-ups by some cowboys as it was quicker on it's feet than a horse. And it could go into rocky or rugged terrain as a horse was to nible. Not as fast as a horse and not as big as a horse, but this one here sure had a big heart. I'll bet that mule sure got a lot more respect after this encounter with the Cougar. That must have been one hungry mountain lion to attack that many horses and people. Great pictures. Thanks for posting them.
