Gun shows are probablyyour best bet

Be careful if ordering any online. I bought some that were advertised as "unissued." Turned out the reason they weren't issued because they were cheap aftermarket replicas.

I also bought some brass ones at a gun shop, and they were aftermarket crap too.

I finally bought the real thing at a Crossroads of the West Gun Show at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, and bought some more from Nick (ninwnc) along with the Finnish stock I got from him.

They don't work as smoothly as Enfield clips, but they do the job and beat thumbing the the shells in one round at a time.

I just use the aftermarket brass and they seem to work fine... you just have to grasp the last round and angle the tip away from the rifle as you push the base of the round in and they all strip in nicely.

I've found originals on gunbroker and ebay.

Stay away from the aftermarket ones with the prongs on the ends.

These work well. I use similar stripper clips and they work fine, although a little tight at first.

MGR-343 - Mosin Nagant Stripper Clips Package of 10 Stripper Clips - Manufactured by: Cheaper Than Dirt!

As an additional note: You can also get them from AIM Surplus. I just had them add 20 stripper clips to my Bulgarian Heavy Ball ammo order for $13.95 (shipping was covered/included with the ammo).

I've seen a 20 pack recently for the range of 15 bucks, and they're the ones that work, not the knockoff "T" shaped clips that just spit rounds all over your floor on a good thumb-push, but the ones that have more of a "V" groove in them, I'll look through my browser history and see if I can't dig it up again.

+1. I got mine from epay. Also, less scratch on the brass case (important to reloaders). I first got the "un-issued" and "may or may not be WWII production" crap which were total waste of money.

I bought Six stripper clips from them and they work pretty well. some are a little loose but they all put the rounds into the gun
So I went ahead and bough 30 more of them

Heres a link Mosin Nagant 5 Round 7.62 x 54R Stripper Clips!|!e-GunParts.com

As a tip for mosin stripper clips mark the top of the clip with a marker where you load the rounds into the clip and always put the marked end where you loaded the clip facing up to the top if the rifle.

You do realize that this thread is 2.5 years old... right.

On the other hand people are always looking for strippers (of all kinds).

file any sharp edges that may catch the rounds and put some dry film lubricant on them. i'm afraid you might find it's the receivers fault and not the clips. my wartime mosins don't like them. my hungarians and pre-war rifles work great with clips. if the clip doesn't fit the receiver loosely without bullets, it'll be even worse with them and they will be a nightmare to use.

LOL! just found out how old the thread is! man that guy must really want to sell his strippers!

straight or tabs. it don't matter. it's wether the gun can take them or not. try a pre-war mosin, they love strippers!
