Gentlemen and LEs,
I'm sure all of you by this time have heard of the finding of two boys in MO that were abducted while near home. One kept for 4.5 yrs and the other for 5 days. The LEs who checked the tips had the boys under their noses several times and failed to recognise vehicle with excellent description by witness and several residents of apts where said vehicle was located.
Were the boys so compliant from a life of computer games and no real rough and tumble playtime that they just rolled over?
There was a less news worthy item last weekend of a girl in NM that was abducted and first chance she had, she bolted from car into store and said "Im the one everybody is looking for!"
How would she be raised differently to think to do a thing like this when she was probably threatened with same consequences?
I'm not a LE and not trained in such matters but it looks like giving up is the easy way out.
I'm not pasing judgement on victims or LE but things dont seem to add up.
I think the real hero is the boy who saw truck and reported strange vehicle and was treated like he was involved in kidnapping.
Again I'm not passing judgement just wonder if we need to be showing movies like John Wayne in 'Big Jake' to show what these preditors are like and the real consequences of not fighting back.
I was in the military and was taught in the code of conduct that escape was paramont over all else. And I wasn't much older than 15.
Again I praised the LORD that these boys were found alive last friday.
It just seems like people want to give up.

I would agree with you. A lot of questions and not much in the way of answers coming to the surface. I certainly don't want to pass any judgement on them and especially not knowing all the circumstances. I'm thankful their back home with their families..
I don't know if you've noticed this or not, but there's a lot of missing kids out there, and there from my city, your city and from cities all over the United States.
Law enforcement seems to be totally incompetent in dealing with this growing problem, wheather the child is a runaway or an abduction. I understand there are some private sources that can assist families in searching for their missing children.
My wife told me years ago that if anybody tried to abduct her they would have to kill her then and there with all the noise and blood because thats probably what they would do anyway when they are done and shes not going down without a fight
