Tax Season is upon us.

Do you use a program, do them yourself, or hire someone to do them?

Personally I use someone. He saves me the extra $100 I paid him, and he does great work.

I use a program, and probably don't even need that. My taxes are pretty straightforward.

We organize our tax information before taking it to the accountant. He's been doing our taxes for years and best I can recall it costs around $75.

The thing I like is that he stores all our tax records in his computer files, and can figure our new taxes with his program in only a few minutes.

In all our years of paying taxes we've never been audited by the IRS...but if we should get get notified of an audit our accountant would represent us.

Well I used to just use the student form, but since things have gotten a little more complex. When I saw that I was paying so much in taxes, I want to be sure to get back what is rightfully mine

I use Turbo tax. Have been for years, ever since I had investment property. For 40$ I saved over a hundred by doing it myself.

I use File Taxes Online - Do Taxes FREE - File Taxes With TaxACT. It is one of the cheapest on the market. To do both state and fed taxes, it is hard to beat for the price.

I got burned a couple of years ago filing online, though; California insisted they never received my return, and I'm still paying the penalties.

They could say the same thing if you mailed it in.

Electronic filing leaves footprints so, there IS a trail. Simple as that.

But, that's Kaliforn I A for ya, lol.

I use Turbo tax.
