Nothing at all wrong with trapping as far as I'm concerned.

Kitty,

You should try the hunting forum,, We're mostly gun enthusiatic nuts over here. We talk calibers, ballistics, and politically freedom over here.

If you go back to the forums link top left side of the page, go to hunting forum, and there is a diverse area there from rabbits, turkey, and deer, they like to talk with other trackers and hunters.

It is still GunandGame.com but just a different forum.

Good luck....

here is a link

Hey Kitty, whatcha' do with the animals you trap? Do you eat 'em and sell the pelts? Down in Arkansas, the Game and Fish Commission along with the state gummint has really put a hurt on folks trapping. All kinds of license, tags, stamps and whatever else they can think up to put you in the poor house. All the trappers I know down there have just about quit.

Trapping is evil..

Now leave me alone as I wear my muskrat hat...

I don't trap anymore. I used to. I quit because:
1. There wasn't any money in it anymore. (That's changed)
2. I didn't have time. (That hasn't changed)

With age, I've found that I don't kill anything unless I'm going to eat it.. I don't duck hunt, because I don't like the taste of duck. I do SQUIRREL hunt, and I eat ever one that I shoot..

I don't know if I'd feel comfortable trapping again. Although I'm pretty comfortable in my muskrat hat.. Oh, and I got my hat custom made here ---> fur hats, womens fur hats, winter hats, russian winter fur hats on a Rockton to Rockton to Rockton tour.

JBS..i put up the fur and sell it at auction..NAFA in Canada to be exact..we eat alot of the animals that i trap, coon and beaver are really good eating..i wont eat muskrat or possum though...yuck..lol

thats a shame there so many fees involved for ya'll..you guys have some fine mink trapping out there..

our fees are included when ya buy your hunting license..only additional fees would be for trapping state or public land..sometimes you need additional permits, but they dont cost that much.

our trapping fees are included with our hunting license and are pretty cheap for a resident..the only additional fees are for permits to trap state or public owned land, and those fees arent very much

Glad to here somebody is out there gettin them Critters..... I don't trap much anymore, That is a LOT of WORK,running a trapline, boiling your traps, and then being dirty and devious to outsmart some pretty smart critters. Lots of Trappers up here and well respected at that. Keep up the good work !
