They're what some people would call a catapult, but they use counterweights. That one's a scale model of one I'm in the middle of building that'll stand about six foot high. That little one throws .41 cal round ball. The last one I built threw golf balls, and when I finish the six-footer it'll throw 5-lb sacks of flour. Makes it easy to see where your shot lands...
