what was your car back in high school?

my school days were over in 1985 but the 3 yrs before that i had a 1977 sport fury i called christine (from the movie of course) did alot of work on the motor found an alumanum intack for it . my dad bless his heart changed it from the electronics to deul points like the old pontiacks bad spelling there. got new or traded cams for it and my dad found an adaptor and put an old 6-pak carb on it, it would do 140 flat out but it drank the gas so i went back to a 2 beral carb and it still did 120+, wish i kept that car, lots of memories

I had my little Honda CB175 to ride. But once in awhile, I would drive Mom's '71 Olds Cutlass - a metallic blue 4-door semi-fastback. That 350 would scoot pretty good for a grocery-getter. That thing ate waterpumps though - I think it was on number four when she traded it in on the "Monarch From !!!!".

I`m with big dog, my first cars were bikes Dirt bikes till I was 17, then I bought a Z900 Kawasakl, followed not long after by a GPz1100. Due to bad planning I lost my licence for 3 years. When I was 21, I bought my first real road car, a 1972 Valiant 265 Hemi Pacer. It was Sunfire Yellow with black stripes going every which a ways, and it started a very long tenure in Mopar cars.

1952 Chevy with the two speed auto.
God, I feel old.

Sorry it was a 53 Chevy, now I feel even older I forgot what year it was.
I think 53 was the fist year for the powerglide tranny.

My Highschool car was a '57 Ford Fairlane 4 door...2 tone black/white with a 352 T-Bird motor in it...

Or my mothers '72 Plymouth Fury with a 360 in it on special occasions....

'69 Nova that originally had a 307, but that blew so I upgraded to a 327. Had a hard time making the starter fit after the changeover, as the holes had to be relocated for it. But, it turned out okay after 2 days of drilling and tapping. Powerglide tranny and 3:73 rear end. It would move, but nowhere near as fast as my KZ750 or my Z900 I bought my senior year!

Talking

Graduated from H.S. in 1955 and drove an old 1933 Ford with a flat head V-8 engine. It had bucket seats, stick shift, 19" wire wheels, rear window curtain, self operated wipers, roll out front windshield, fabric top, black, continental tire on back, only one rear tail light, and front doors opened from the front side.

My car in High School was a 1973 Chevy Nova. 4 Door, 250 straight six, Holley 1 barrel. I was tearing up all the grandmas on their way to Bingo. The engine compartment was big enough for a 350, so you could almost stand in it next to the engine. That car is probably still running today.
