KA-BAR
I just bought the "Next Generation" with serration, KYDEX Sheath, and non-rust blade.
Or, I could use my USMC KA-BAR.

Victorinox Deluxe Tinkerer:
2 blades, slotted and Philips screwdrivers, pliers, can opener, bottle opener, reamer, scissors (might want to trim my nails), tooth pick and tweezers.

I like my CRKT folder that I carry every day. Something like a Ka Bar is nice and all, but not practical for everyday carry and use in an urban or suburban environment.

My old Blackjack Anaconda II with ten inch stainless razor sharp rolled point edge.
From extensive testing, it cut a lot longer without needing resharpening than either my Cold Steel Trailmaster, or various knives from Germany and Sheffield.

Ka-Bar! Not by brand name though! I'd get the Camillus or Ontario makes, let on government contract-- you pay too much for the ka-bar name!. i carried a buck General for a while--it broke on a jump.

I would take the TOPS Tom Brown Tracker Jr.(II). Good size can due any multitude of tasks from chopping to quartering and has a saw back that works remarkably well. But your gonna pay for it too.

Gerber EVO has been a great knife. It is not my survival knife I suppose but God made bullets for a reason. My swiss army knife along with the Gerber take care of business daily so why hurt a good thing?

You would think that a knife that appeared in a movie like that one did would have triggered a flood of knock offs.

I like the TOPS Tom Brown Tracker, useful all around, but like said before they are expensive.

Okay, I caved in and bought one, are you happy now?
LOL...
Its the most expensive knife I own, (most of the rest of my stuff was bought wholesale) but I gotta admit, I don't regret spending a penny on it as I feel it's worth it.
I think I may go ahead and get a leather sheath for it though. I like the scout way of carrying a knife, but the clips on the kydex rig just stick out so far. I could carry a 1911 concealed there more easily....
I wonder if the T-2 version might be a better day to day carry knife...
