Not as long as I remember we didn't have Elvis there, I believe it was a few Hotels down the block in a show called Legends in Concert. However, I have not worked there in many years and they could have had a lounge act. I could write a book on what I have seen over the years. BTW I am writing a book but it is about a murder that happened back in the 50's true story only I had to change the names. My title is called Desert Heat into about the 6th chapter right now. Have to get busy on it this year. Lady Di

Sounds like you had some pretty heavy-duty certifications. Our pipeline welders (I work for a natural gas utility) spend an eight-hour day once a year proving they should stay certified.

Railroad conductor/switchman, referred to as a "snake" by other railroad employees.

Welding inspector for a truck trailer manufacturer. I inspect carbon, stainless and aluminum MIG welding and some stick welding on carbon. I also inspect major subassemblies for tolerances of critical dimensions. The hardest part of my job is training/retraining assemblers and welders, and filling out all the paperwork required. My biggest pet peeve at work: You’d be surprised how many people come to work in a factory (heavy industry) and can't so much as read a tape measure or speak English! Y yo no hablo Espanol.

Mooseman684 topedoes are no longer used or to be found ...and yes they are very cool.

chrish this is from a previous post I made. Based on your current job you would probably thrive as an engineer. I keep passing on the bid since I like sleeping in my own bed :
