I was a Mgr for a local camera specialty shop for several years, but quit to go back to school. I am 1 year away from a B.A. and will be attending Law school after I graduate. I plan on using my J.D. degree to protect our constitutional rights. Someone with some common sense has to get out there to navigate the complex legal highway to assure we don't lose our rights. I am not saying I will save the world, but I sure as hell plan on trying.......
don't worry, I have heard all the lawyer jokes from my family...........

Same here! We need some good lawyers on our side! Good luck, and don't let the libbers change your heart and mind. I've heard some nightmare stories about students being treated like second class citizens, if they don't fall in line and go with the program. Meaning if you believe in the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, and they right to keep and bear arms, they'll get all over you, and try their best to change your mind. And if that doesn't work, they'll do their best to make sure you fail. I think I'd just keep my opinions to myself....

I think I'd just keep my opinions to myself.... | I think if I had done this straight out of high school, I would have been more easily persuaded by their indoctrination, but at this point in my life I find that holding your tongue and allowing the "know-it-alls" to regurgitate their nonsense you can get farther than challenging them openly. The key is to remember what your core ideas are and why you are pursuing this chosen path. The main point is to absorb everything, but filter everything through your own ideas and beliefs before stockpiling it into your knowledge database as reason. My reasons are simply to affect law positively and to bring a sense of common sense back to a profession that is known for arrogant, dim-wits with no moral standing. I keep telling myself that I only need these professors for a few years and then I will be their equal peer and not at their mercy....

Ghost...I admire the way you rationally analyze situations and go about decision making.
Wish you were in KC and I'd put you on my "must use" lawyer list whenever one is needed.

Ox | Thanks, I appreciate the vote of confidence. I know it will be more difficult for my family, but my hope is to land a job that allows me the convenience to travel and take cases based on merit and customer need rather than other less important reasons, so perhaps I might make it to KC on occasion.
