Knowing the difference between work and jail

Knowing the difference between work and jail
Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed up, this should make things a little bit clearer.

Prison: You spend the majority of your time in a 10x10 cell
Work: you spend the majority of your time in an 8x8 cubicle

Prison: you get three meals a day full paid for
Work: You get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it.

Prison: You get time off for good behavior
Work: You get more work for good behavior

Prison: You can watch TV and play games
Work: You get fired for watching TV and playing games

Prison: They allow your family and friends to visit
Work: You aren't even suppose to speak to your family.

Prison: All expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required.
Work: You get to pay all your expenses to go to work, and they deduct
taxes from your salary to pay for the prisoners.

Prison: You spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out
Work: You spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

Last but not least...

Prison: You get your own toilet
Work: you have to share the toilet with people who pee on the seat!!

IS THERE SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THE PICTURE?

Now, get back to work. You're not getting paid to check emails!!!

That was funny, then I think about my poor friend Steve. He called me the other day and is still in shock and disbelief. 25 years he got for that self defense case first offense clean record. Justice system is blind to the innocent in many cases and if you don't have big money for a good attorney your life is over. I cried many nights over seeing this wonderful guy's life taken away. Sad.. I told you all about what happened. Don't carry a gun without a CCW and if you ever have to use one to defend yourself you better be sure your life is in jepordy. And know when you pull your gun out deadly force is the only reason, not to scare off somebody or any other reason. Lady Di

Actually, 99.9% of the time when a gun is pulled in the US, it is without a shot being fired. This goes for CCW carriers, police, robberies, etc... Pulling a gun is not to kill, it is to resolve a conflict, perhaps with a lethal outcome, but not always nor most of the time.

Thats what my friend Steve thought he would get this guy to back off him, after an attack but the guy high on drugs crabbed for it and it went off and the guy got shot in the stomach and (recovered). Steve had his FFL and explosives lic. but no CCW. Clean record lived in the same house for over 45 years born and raised same town got 25 years agg. assault with the use of a gun. Lady Di

I also have my CCW I carry a little Beretta .380 and I know that if I ever have to draw my gun it will be because I feel myself in a life threathing situation. I have been around guns and law enforcement all my life. All I can say is if you ever get into the system, your case is only as good as your Attorney.....One of my best friends and shooting partner is a district court Judge and he could not even believe what happened to my friend Steve. Lady Di, the jury should be ashamed of themselves.

Thumbs down

And...appealing only feeds the soliciters (attorneys) for every minute of time and piece of paper written.

Should have asked the judge and jurors about their gun control beliefs. He could claim a technicality or prejudiced court. It sure weighed against him.
