vacum seal ammo?

Can ammo be vacum sealed?

i dont see any reason that it cant be. i also wonder why? there is a lot of 50+year old ammo out there in perfect shape.

Yes, It can be and as long as the seal is intact, it is waterproof and clean...
I used to vac seal ammo I kept around the Marine environment in my tacklebox, and in my survival pack !

Thanks, I wasn't sure what the lack of gravity/vacum would do to the powder. I know it isn't like a marshmellow, but I didn't know so I had to ask. You know how a marshmello expands due to the lack of air pressure when vacumed in a jar. Anywho....Mucho appreciated!

It isn't a big concern for most of us, unless we keep ammo in our car/truck, or other place subject to humidity.
For military ammo, yes - never know where and how it'll be stored. I still have a lot of 53-dated Yugo 8mm Mauser that has dead primers - bad sealer.
If it gets to the point of our having to . . . uh . . . store away guns and ammo for a "rainy day", then I'll put my Seal-a-Meal machine to good use!
