Century International Arms and poor customer service

I had sent off a copy of my C&R FFL about a month and a half ago to Century International Arms. I went through registering my information and all those little points but I can't sign in because my FFL numbers are supposedly not a match on file. Is this typical of Century International Arms of is this just a fluke? Not trying to bash Century, just a little frustrated.

I had a similar problem about needing a five digit number. Like you I sent in all my info and waited and nothing. After 2-3 emails they finally sent me a code. I have'nt bought anything from them because they have order limits (please lt me know if I am wrong on this). I see know where SOG is operating under this same secret info. I guess alot of dealers are upset that noone wants to pay 300$ for that 99$ SKS they have for sale.

I had to register three separate times on Century's site before finally having full access. Since the prices and selection are the best I see, I have not yet bought from them. SOG is not on the same info type system. I just ordered from them within the past few weeks and had no problems. It is totally different from Century's system.

SOG now has a registration page to access prices. I get the catalog but sometimes i'm bored and wish to look online to see if there is anything new. They changed it without sending anyone a notice.

Yes, there is that, but there is not the Super Secret Secret Squirrel secret decoder ring type of registration like at Century.

Plus your customer number, which you can only get by decoding the FFL number in the way Century wants you to. On SOG, I just set up an online acct, input my number during registration, I made up a user name and password, and they already have a copy of the FFL.

Thanks, happy to hear I'm not the only one having trouble with this system or a little trouble with Century.

I sent an e-mail but the response is slow but it was late on a Friday so I imagine it won't be till Monday when I get a response. I feel it may be a fluke but nice to know I'm not the only one who has experienced it. SOG has been a lot better and responses were typically fast and pleasant. Century I had e-mailed once before but no response at all. However, on that note I believe Century is more geared toward dealers then the occasional C&R buyer who buys a few rifles. I believe they are more after the guy who is going to buy a few cases. I'm not going to say Century is horrible but they were a bit slow and by the fact they didn't reply to an earlier e-mail not particularly concerned one way or the other. From my point of view, I see it as poor customer service. Some people have luck, some people don't. I just happened and am going through a bad experience. It won't stop me from dealing with them. They have a nice selection.

I finally got my username and password. However, it took a few e-mails to get it done and once they sent me my username and password, there was still a problem. The username and password they sent me had a glitch. Anyway, I finally logged on. Though, last time I remember looking through their stock before this system they had some Israeli K98 in .308. They have some (k98 in .308) now but in fair condition from Austria. The Israelis were good - very good I think.

Check your private messages. I just sent you the generic username/password for SOG.
No minimum with them or Aimsurplus. Shipping from both is about the same since they're only 30 or so miles from each other.
