Congressional Medal of Honor to be given by President Bush
This is one of the best news stories I've read recently. Took 40 years to happen, but President did the right thing. Like my motto goes, "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right."
Yeah, I saw that on the news this morning. I'm just glad they didn't end up awarding it posthumously. I'm glad all that came back from that war, did, as my father was one of them.
I saw the interview with the chopper pilot who received the medal.
From what he was saying his wing man (fire support and rescue chopper) and his best friend since 'Nam also deserves the medal. That would be equally as nice to see.
At any rate I'm glad to see he finally got it and had a chance to relish the moment.
