Are M1 Garands/M1 Carbines on the hit list

Gentlemen,
..if she gets into the White House in '08? We all joke about CMP getting them out the door before '08. I wonder...The Dem's are already working on a permanent assault weapons ban. Some parts of the new bill state that any firearm that takes a MAGAZINE or CLIP device would be Banned. They state that there might be a grandfather part of the bill. Here in PA their bill states that if you own one of these types of firearms, they must be put on a list and you will pay a fee for each one you own every year. Don't think it wouldn't come to this. Look what happened in England and Australia. Also, they just took them from the people in New Orleans. They just might have the power to do it. All your firearms taken without any compensation. What about many of you guys who, like me, collect them? What do you think might happen?

GovTrack: H.R. 1022: Text of Legislation
Thanks again,
Clancy

That's when the SHTF scenario begins. I believe that many, if not most, gun owners in the U.S.A. would fail to comply. It's anybody's guess as to how many privitely owned guns are unaccounted for right now. Probably 2/3 of the guns were acquired before registration reg's were set in place, leaving the majority out of quick reach by authorities, if they should make the attempt to grab them.

Of course, I would comply with all laws and wrap them up in a neat package leaving them on the door of authorities.(ha)

But...the current attempt to ban certain guns will be just another failed effort by lawmakers who do not fully understand why individual citizens need guns. Their time is paid for by all citizens and is wasted with these continued futile efforts to circumvent the 2nd amendment.

I've always been amazed that the folks who would defend the first amendment to the extent of protecting things like flag burning and indecency in prime time television are the same folks that have laid siege to the second amendment. Our forefathers would be ashamed!

If this will come to a reality I like to take the hard work on me to give all those poor orphaned rifles a good home
I think I then apply for a collectors certificate here in The Netherlands and save them

Rob

PS: This means that every fire arm (including pistols) are on the ban list???
So a "simple" 1911 is on the list (has a mag) and a lee enfield is also on the list (has a mag)???
Wierd..
I thought our government was nuts but it seems the american is going the same way!

A Kurd Army Officer talking to a CIA agent asked the agent If there were any men left in America? The Agent never gave an answer.I will say this.
in the opening of the Constitution it says and I Quoit,That this is a government OF THE PEOPLE,BY THE PEOPLE and FOR THE PEOPLE. That Makes us ALL THE PEOPLE.The 2nd Amendment says the RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BARE ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRENGED.WE're ALL PEOPLE there too. And we have a way out in the Bill of rights. It goes like this.

"Bill Of Rights"
When the Government fails to serve the people,The people have the RIGHT Nay the responsability,To take that Government back and reestablish it.

There are only two ways to use this,One is to vote them out of office. The other I won't go into it's a no brainer. The Demacrates and others and our school system is pushing for a socialist government and we are losing our FREEDOMS a chip at a time. Maybe Islam, will beat the Socialist to the punch,Or maybe our country will be speaking Spanish and will move our Capital to Mexico.I don't know,Maybe the Kerd Officer was right,Maybe there are to little American men left willing to put their lives on the Line to protect our FREEDOM.I for one can not live as a Socialist or a Muslim and I won't speak spanish. As an AMERICAN I have no place to run so I'll stand and fight, I'd rather die a free man than a slave to some other form of life. These are just MY thoughts. One day we'll all have to make a choice and it's comming sooner than later.GOD BLESS AMERICA.
