I am saving funds for a 6.8 project. I have the lower and parts kit, but I know it is going to end up over a grand!
I was thinking about when I got my first 10/22 for $100 and it was in perfect shape and mags were just couple of bucks.
SKS noob,
check out classicarms.us he has the best prices and nicest SKS I have ever seen and they are in stock.

Now, IF I could buy one from there without NEEDING a dealers or C&R license, or any other complication at that, it would be wonderful. I have seen their site, but didn't think past that complication I mentioned. I will call and see because they DO have the best prices I've seen.
*EDIT*
Just called. Just what I though. Frickin complications. I am very very sad.

you know, I'd kinda like to have a 50 BMG! It would be nice to have anti-copter capability, too!

A good 30-30 with a night scope can do just as good. |

50BMG would have much better range, not mention, much better penetration! And, don't you think, better suited for such work?

How about a 30-06 as a compromise,a lot cheaper, and in semi could do wonders with good optics? |

Maybe a pink light and some soft music in the safe would help?

I've wanted a 50BMG for so long I can't remember. Trouble is the cost. Maybe some day.......before they become illegal.
