Assault weapon ban and what to stock up on...

My first reaction is to buy magazines. I'd say at least 7-10 mags for any gun you own that is threatened by the ban. Any maybe 3-4 magazines for some guns you don't own. If your into AR's, build a few cheap AR's now. Buy 3-4 stripped lowers and parts kits for each. If nothing else, try to find some cheap chrome lined M-16 uppers(last gun show they were $195 each) and some bolt carrier groups. The reason I'm going to this extreme is due to the fact I don't think theres a sunset clause, rule, whatever for this ban. And we all know that if the government takes away the main source of weapons and capacity that could be used to fight them one day, they won't give it back, ever.

After reading the New assault weapons ban proposal, I found a LOOHOLE !
Nothing is mentioned about Belt fed guns, so I am considering Investing in a semi-auto 1919A4 Browning and converting it to a 1919A6 configuration. They are only about 1200 bucks right now...
Magazines were the Hot Item as well as the banned guns themselves right before the Clinton Ban...prices went astronomical, even on 30 rd 10/22 Mags.
Then they dried up...

Well, I can't particularly buy most of those things, so what should I buy? 10 round mags, ammo and guns?

Buy any and all AR-15 parts. Lowers, uppers, MAGAZINES, AK-47 receivers, ak mags,
Get .223 and 7.62x39 ammo and lots of it. There is so much to get that will be worth a mint very very soon.

I think that I am going to get another Yugo before they do a jump in price. I remember when I got a Yugo for $100 that was brand new and flawless, now they are over $200.

I can remember about 10 years ago when an SKS could be bought for like $65, in perfect shape. AK's where like $150-$200 at gun shows. If only I could go back in time.

Remember when they couldn't give AKs away? The ammo was around $3 a box and mags were almost free. I got a new SA 1911 for like $400 and it was perfect and stainless mags were $10 a pop. Ahhh the good ol days. How things have changed.

I remember when 1917's where $250-$400, now there $1000. The other day a guy from work was talking about being able to mail order M1's for like $50-$100. Of course that was back in the 60's and 70's, but still.

Pred, last night as I toiled for the man, I was thinking about your, this, thread. you know, I'd like to have a 1911 clone or the real thing. Nothing says 1911 like a Colt. Maybe I'll sink the funds into getting one, if it presents itself.

I've ordered two AR lowers (one is actually for my brother), an AK receiver, 2 AK mags, AK parts kit, AR CAR stock, 4 AR magazines, and I've barely made a dent in my shopping list of goodies.

Of course, the looming ban hasn't really made me add much to the list in my head, it's been more of an excuse to stock up some things really!!

"Sweety, you'll never hear the end of it form me if I don't order this stuff now and it becomes illegal!! Plus, it's getting more and more expensive so I'm saving money buying stuff NOW!" <---wonder how long that reasoning is gonna hold up!!
