Picked up a new stock off Ebay

I actually won an auction! LOL

Fixed tube stock, looks good, and a lot cheaper than from Bushmaster new.

eBay: ORIGINAL BUSHMASTER STOCK (item 110101408803 end time Mar-16-07 08:53:11 PDT)

Ivan, I like you, and you know that, so please please don't take what I'm about to say as being smart or a slap in the face. But, you payed $59 for a used, fixed stock. For $10 more you could have got a new RRA 6 position stock with the buffer tube, end plate, lock ring, buffer & spring. And for $12 more you could have picked up a Stag M4 stock(with all the parts listed above) that included a mil spec tube that would allow you to change out to a VLTOR, LMT, Colt(any stock that takes a mil spec tube) down the road. As I said above, please don't take this as an insult. I hope your happy with what you bought, and your right, it is a good deal compared to a new Bushmaster stock.

I side with Pred, that was a lot to pay for a fixed stock, but it is a Bushy and you will like it. I have a feeling though that you will be wanting a telescoping in the near future.

And Ivan, I'm not saying you didn't get a good deal, cause you did. That same stock would have cost about $30-$40 more brand new.

You can't go wrong with Bushmaster. I put a set of Bushy handgaurds on my M4 and they are a giant improvement over the stock glacier guards that went in the trash. The next builds that I go through are getting Ace, the quality of Ace stocks are hard to beat and a great value when you find them used.

Nothing wrong with a little input Pred. I am a newbie to all of this AR stuff, so no doubt I will spend more than I need to here & there. Any input is appreciated.

Actually, I like the fixed stocks better than the adjustable....don't know why, just do...If I want something longer, I will use my existing Bushmaster long. This build is going to be my 'shorty'. I'm going to try to find a 12" barrel with a 4" flash hider.

All I know, like you said, is that a new Bushy stock is almost 2x as much new. It certainly doesn't appear to be in 50% condition, so I will say to myself it is worth it.

Thanks for the input, it's always welcome and that is why I posted it here.

Anything is an improvement over the A2 stock. That is a nice looking rifle there. It looks very accurate.

If you are looking for an xm177 barrel, (11 1/2 barrel 5 1/2 flashhider) try Firearms, ar15 parts, ar15 accessories, m16, ar15 kns as far as a 12 in barrel 4 in flashhider goes I've never seen one.

Looking at it, it looks just like a RRA stock just with a different logo stamped on bottom. Same manufacturer?

PDM? I don't understand your question. What looks just like an RRA stock?

Oh. Well, I got the stock and it is stamped with the Bushmaster label, so apparently it is, in fact, a Bushmaster.

Not saying it isn't stamped Bushmaster, just wondering if the same company makes the same stock for RRA and Bushmaster. Other than the logo being different ( in the same spot) they look just alike.
