This is a tough one but your picture shows that it is an eight-groove bbl. The way the barrel is machined leads me to believe that it was turned and machined from a barrel blank that GunPartsCorporation has. Perhaps from one of their Anschutz blanks; is it stainless or carbon steel? If it is stainless then I have no idea!

carbon thanks! it was made a few years ago by a local gunsmith genius who has passed away. so i cant ask him! its kinda hard to describe the finish ,silvery sparkly? is that even a word?its smooth ,not matte like parkerized finishes. but all the old guys around here rave about this mans work!

Billy,
Take a look at the chamber end of the bbl, is there a "c" stamp visible anywhere?

if there is its under the drilled and tapped scope rail that is mounted on the bbl. that looks like its epoxied on there

is that an odd diameter for a bbl.?

Billy,
Most commercially made bbls are .920" at the muzzle, this is what leads me to believe your was made from a bbl blank

i just looked up the smith that made this rifle Floyd Wine. i never got the chance to meet the man but this guy was a gun guru. all kinds of shooting awards ,well known expert, did things for MIDWAY and built some guns while he lived here in durango. the fella that i bought the gun from is a well respected gun expert champion in his own right and he garanteed that i could cover 10 shots with a dime.

BTW the seller is a man i trust . if he says itll do it, then id better find out what ammo it wants!
