restoring bbl. finish?
ive got this groovy new to me bull bbl. 10-22 and it has something on the bbl. it doesnt hurt anything but i want it looking as nice as possible what can i do at home for this?

0000 Steelwool and good gun oil - rub the rust off. Looks like an SS barrel? No blueing to worry about. People think SS doesn't rust - but if neglected, it certainly can.

In addition to Big Dog's suggestions, I use the following chemicals for rust removal. If one doesn't get it, usually the other will. They include:

will naval jelly eat the finish? i have a jar. CLP,CLR ,steelwooland oil all didnt work

yes something like that is the only way out for this . because....I AM GOING TO HAVE A PRETTY RIFLE! come !!!! or high water that $300 guns gonna look as good as i can get it.
