Music and guns... What would/do you listen to?

Last time I went to the range I took my iPod with me to see if the music would relax me. Sure enough, it did. I was listening to Mad World by Gary Jules. So, if any of you all have done this or thought about it, what music would you take with you?

HA! Neat idea. I think it depends what I'm shooting. I'd save Mad World for plinking. At the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot next weekend, I'll DEFINITLEY have to pop in Slayer/Reign In Blood or maybe Kill 'Em All by Metallica! Follow that with some Joan Baez (kidding).

Extreme Ways by Moby isn't to bad either. Of course Bad to the Bone has to be in there somewhere also.

Nice picks Tbone, I'd likely go with a myriad variety of rock/metal/alternative/trance

The trance is for calm target shots rather than plinking. I have lots of CD's (over 250) plus gigs of MP3's, so there's too many choices to list the songs.

I don't usually listen to music while shooting, I need my full attention to the matter at hand.

I've always thought about it, but decided against it so I could hear range commands..

If I was quarry blasting by myself, that'd be one thing, but at a range, I'd call it far from safe.

Just sayin'

Yeah, s'why I said I would listen to those. I stick to just a pair of ear-protection, as it's required at my local indoor range.

Haven't been out quarry blasting in years.

Just bought one of the Ipod shufles. Really cool and small. To get me in a shooting mood I guess it would go like this: Korn, Snot, Disturbed, Teddly VonNugentburger, Zeppelin, Rage Against the Machine, Cult, Motley Crue, AC/DC, etc.

Probably listen to F**k the Police.

JUST KIDDING.

I'd probably go with Guns and Roses or Alice in Chains. Something of that sort.

just a car thanks for the complememnt. but as with you it would be a lot of hard rock and alternative with some good ol classic rock like AC/DC, GNR, Motle Crue, Poison, Alice Cooper (specificly Uncle Tom's Cabin ) and a few others

m44 muzzle blast and the tone it leaves in my ears when wearing plugs is music enough for me.

besides I listen to enough loud music at home as it is
