A lot of posts drift off course from the subject (Thread) I feel 338winmag was wrong in closeing it.

Being new to forums I guess I don't know what the rules are or unwritten rules are.

I think in the future, if there is one, a friendly reminder would be more appropriate than completely closeing it.

Gas prices in El Dorado, AR. went down 3 cents...from 2.78 a gal. to 2.75 a gal
I noticed this when I went to shoot my Reminton 552 that jams.

When things change just a little and people have a disagreement with it, we have a tendancy to cull ourselves or be culled later for stubborness. I was wondering why it was getting quiet in the poweder keg and the sks forums.

There be a big crackdown on political comments here on G&G. A lot of us don't like it, but the folks who have their finger on the button do. Kinda immature, IMO. We are adults, we should be able to have open discussion, opportunity to offer our opinion and restraint to keep ourselves from reading things we don't like or want don't want to hear. But, I guess we have been put in a line and we each have a handle on a big rope that we can hold onto. "Don't stray from the rope!"

A lot of times it gets less than friendly. That's not what it's about.
I do wish for a forum where people can let off a little steam.

That's why they put the blog forums in and that link to that other place. So those of us who like to do that could. With the blog forums you can moderate it yourself. They SHOULD put a master link to the page on their main page but I didn't see it. I know they want to crack down on stuff that makes the populace look bad, we should be honest to ourselves too. Look down below. The site is #3 now according to the Great Gunny.

Yep. Longer than the gas price one too if allowed.

Just saw your post there Ivan. Fear, anger, reputation, AND lots of other good and bad reasons can cause censorship. That's how the world is from what I've seen.

Not sure if you noticed, but the "Zomibes!!!" thread is also closed and gone. I asked Ox what happened to it and he said it was in the General Rifle forum but is closed "for some reason or another."

I know it wasn't really about guns (other than which you'd want against zombies), but I find it a good laugh and good fun to relate guns to blowing away zombies... makes light of serious things like power of cartridges and we don't get into caliber wars. I highly doubt anyone's going to start saying they know for certain that a particular caliber will take down a zombie better than any other (unless you're talking a .22LR versus a 30mm HE ).

To kill a zombie, you must have a .553 Tyranasaur round. Or was it .533

Hmm... I'd say 75+% of the regulars on G&G never had a problem with the political section, or the locked threads in the General section, at least not to the point of doing what was done. However, on the flip side I'd say 95% of the show up once every 30 days guys had a problem....... Nevermind, don't really want another "Insulted Other Member(s)" infraction yet never get a reply on what I actually did..... Someone make a daily kitty thread like on AR-15.com ..... best thread ever.
